Apache 2.0 licensed.

Vibestrate is released under the Apache License, Version 2.0 - a permissive open-source license that lets you use, copy, modify, merge, publish, and distribute the software (including commercially), with two key requirements: preserve the copyright/license/NOTICE files, and flag any changes you make. Apache 2.0 also grants an explicit patent license from contributors to users.

The full Apache License 2.0 is too long to embed cleanly here. Read it in full at apache.org/licenses/LICENSE-2.0, or see the LICENSE file in the Vibestrate repository.

In plain English

  • You can use Vibestrate commercially, modify it, and redistribute it.
  • You can integrate it into closed-source products.
  • You must keep the copyright notice, the LICENSE, and the NOTICE file (if present) in any copy.
  • If you modify a file, mark it as changed (Apache 2.0 §4.b).
  • Contributors grant you an explicit patent license for their contributions.
  • There is no warranty. We provide the software "as is".

No warranty · no liability · educational purposes only

Vibestrate is built and shared for learning, exploration, and educational purposes only. There is no company behind it, no support contract, no commercial guarantee, and no business relationship implied by your use of the software or this site.

By downloading, installing, running, modifying, or otherwise using Vibestrate you accept that you do so entirely at your own risk. The maintainers and contributors are not responsible for:

  • code or files modified, created, or deleted by agents you orchestrate;
  • commands executed in sandboxed worktrees or shells;
  • tokens, API calls, or charges incurred against the AI vendors you connect (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, etc.);
  • secrets or sensitive data exposed to those vendors as part of your prompts;
  • downstream effects on your codebase, CI, deployments, or production systems;
  • data loss, lost time, lost revenue, or any other indirect or consequential damages.

You are solely responsible for what you run Vibestrate against, what you authorize it to do, and what it costs. If you need warranties, certifications, SLAs, or a vendor to hold accountable, Vibestrate is not the right tool - pick a commercial product instead.

Auditability

The full source is public at https://github.com/guyshonshon/vibestrate - inspect, fork, modify, and run your own version. We encourage auditing before use. The marketing site source is at guyshonshon/vibestrate-marketing.

Third-party components

Vibestrate depends on third-party software (React, Astro, Tailwind, various model SDKs, the AI provider CLIs you bind). Each is covered by its own license - see the dependency manifests in the main repository for the full list.

This marketing site is not Apache 2.0

Only the Vibestrate software (the daemon, CLI, and Mission Control UI in the guyshonshon/vibestrate repository) is Apache 2.0 licensed.
